The allure of a million dollars is irresistible even for the holy man.
Unless
you’re a Catholic nun (no offense), the thought of getting a hand on a
million dollars is too tempting to escape the mind of any human being on
 earth.
Pictures of luxury homes, flashy
cars, loads of cash and sexy women flash through your mind each time you
 think of a million dollars...
Before we answer this question, perhaps the more important question should be:
“Why do most people become millionaires?”
Unfortunately,
99% of people think of becoming millionaires for all the selfish
reasons. This explains why most people never come close to achieving
this goal.
I’ll tell you why most people
become millionaires. They’re too focused on making other people
comfortable they don’t even notice when the million dollars hits their
bank account.
Most millionaires are driven
by fierce passion and an obsession for success. More often than not,
millionaires are driven by a bigger goal, like helping other people or
making a positive impact on society.
That’s why nothing stops them. Not even failure…
How do most people become millionaires?
Let’s rule out the possibility of becoming a millionaire through a 9 to 5 job.
If
you can get a job that pays you over $200,000 a year, it’s possible but
difficult. Besides, you will need the services of a good financial
adviser and an aggressive investment plan. On top of it all, it will
take you years to get there…
Millionaires usually take the role of entrepreneurs or investors.
They
invest in risky investments and businesses where 99% of people will not
dare. They make many mistakes and fail several times, but they’re not
deterred by this. In fact, they regard the many mistakes and failures as
learning experiences which schools don’t teach.
They also invest on themselves heavily.
Most
millionaires I know are bookworms. They’re lifelong learners, and don’t
care how much it’ll cost them or how long it’ll take. I know one
millionaire who says that at one time he used to own more books than
clothes.
More importantly, to become a millionaire you must work on yourself.
You
must develop a millionaire mindset and self-development culture. This
means making several adjustments on your habits, actions, discipline,
vocabulary (language), focus, patience, persistence, determination and
purpose. This will help you understand yourself better and will greatly
enhance the way you interact with other people and the outside world.
Becoming a millionaire is counter-intuitive and the majority of people who set out to become millionaires will never make it.
Becoming a millionaire is not easy.
To
become a millionaire, you must have a strong desire to help other
people. This often leads to much sacrifice on your part, which sometimes
takes its toll on you, family and friends, your health, your
relationships, denying yourself the comfort that most people enjoy.
To
become a millionaire quicker, the best option is to go into a business
that provides goods or services many people need, either by targeting
the mass market or a few high net worth individuals.
Targeting
a few high net worth individuals as a consultant or business is
possible but more difficult because it takes time to win their trust.
However,
you can easily target the mass market with a proven marketing strategy,
product or service that the masses are dying to buy.
For example, if you can find something you can sell for just $1
to a million people per year, you’re already a millionaire. If the same
number of people buy the same thing each month, then you’re a
multi-millionaire.
Selling a product or
service is not as hard as finding a million people who have a rabid
appetite to buy your product or service. To reach a million people you
must go to where they hang.
Arguably, the
internet is by far, the greatest invention by mankind, and by far, the
cheapest and most effective way to carry out market research, market and
sell goods, products and services, and reach any target market or
audience.
The proliferation of social media networks like YouTube, Facebook and Twitter has changed the game forever.
With
the right tools and techniques, you can easily leverage these networks
to reach your target market or audience in a matter of minutes at little
or no cost, and making a kill in the process.
Finally, to become a millionaire, you MUST learn to work smart instead of working hard by mastering the law of leverage:
- Leverage other people’s Time
- Leverage other people’s Money
- Leverage other people’s Knowledge and Skills
- Leverage Technology and Machines
These, alongside other strategies will easily make you a millionaire.
