I am so tired of these robotic life advice quotes. Wake up at 5. Drink enough water. Discipline yourself.
Hell no.
Real
change does not come from following a script. You know what, look at
all the great things in life. They all happened because someone was not
following a script.
The best books do not
follow same formula as all other books. They have their own path. The
writer went through pain and growth to open up that new path and now you
want to reduce it to advice like “wake up at 5.”
You won’t achieve anything. When you wake up and how structured your day is has nothing to do with productivity. The best life advice you can give someone is to be as lazy as possible.
But then nothing will get accomplished
I hear you say. That is because you are doing lazy the wrong way. If
you are playing video games and thinking about work you are not being
lazy. You have to be brutally honest with yourself.
Say after me “I am going to be lazy and do absolutely nothing else.”
Then
what happens is amazing. Your guts won’t allow that to happen. You will
feel pain because you are facing reality and not avoiding it. So you
will do what you need to do. Be honest with yourself. That is how you
can become the best version of yourself. You have to find your own path.
The clothes and scripts of another man won’t fit you. I can not tell
you what to do. I can tell you just what to NOT do. Do not follow dreams
and delusions. Follow growth.
And
you know what growth is. You know how much pleasure it brings to expand
yourself. Growth has nothing to do with soul grinding hard work and it
has everything to do with knowing yourself.
