- Go to your local library and get on a computer - With only $5, you’re going to need a public computer.
- Open a gmail account, create a google doc - You’re going to at least need an email account and the ability to get your thoughts out.
- Write a resume/CV for yourself - The first step to becoming a millionaire is getting some kind of employment.
- Google spreadsheet all the companies in the area you feel you have something to offer - Get information on all of them, call and email all of them asking for their manager.
- Call up every company, talk to the manager, get a job - You will. You’ll use this income to invest into your company.
- Find a community of people online with specific interests - Maybe the group is athletes, maybe it’s video gamers, maybe it’s tabletop gamers, maybe it’s sailors, maybe it’s people who specifically write stories in Elizabethan prose, it doesn’t matter. Find these people and make sure the group’s interests are specific enough to have a particular taste.
- Create a product that solves a problem, captures an opportunity, or feeds the tastes of the group - It could be anything, stories the group would like (this is how Fifty Shades of Grey started, from the Twilight fan fiction community), a small object the group loves (this is how fidget spinners became super popular, started from the EDC community), a specific bike with unique parts that enables different kind of riding (this is how mountain biking became a thing from bike riders).
- Ensure that your product gives you at least $5 of profit per product sold - It doesn’t have to be this, but it should be at least this, probably.
- Now sell 200,000 products - Bang, you made a million dollars
