How to increase my happiness today?

Since I don’t know you or how you live your life, I can’t just give you ONE thing.
Instead, here are a few general tips to help you feel happier..

1 Sleep for 8–9 Hours
Getting less than 7.5 hours of sleep is a recipe for disaster.
It makes you dumber, angrier, foggier, and more depressed.
Do yourself and your body a favor and get a night of truly exceptional sleep.
I promise you’ll be happier for it.

2. Go Sweat for 60 Minutes
Most people are unhappy because they don’t move.
They live stagnant lives that atrophy their bodies and block their brains from receiving all of the feel-good hormones associated with exercise.
Go to the gym TODAY and lift some heavy weights, do some sprints, or go for a swim.
Sweat hard for 60 minutes and you’ll feel a whole helluva lot better by the end of the day.

3. Eat a Meal with TONS of Veggies
We’ve shown pretty undisputably that what you eat directly impacts your moods and emotions.
Sugar, processed wheat, and low-quality meats all cause you to feel sluggish and unhappy.
Instead, treat yourself to a huge salad filled with a rainbow of vegetables and maybe a chunk of salmon.
Your brain and body will feel better and you’ll feel a lot happier.

4. Spend 10 Minutes in a State of Gratitude
I don’t mean to write out 10 things you’re grateful for (although you certainly can).
I mean spend 10 minutes truly sitting with and contemplating the things for which you feel grateful.
Really allow yourself to fall into a state of gratitude.
Consider how amazing it is that you are even alive, much less that you live in a time where you can ask questions like this on the internet.
If you go all in on this exercise, there’s no way that you won’t feel happy.

5. Watch a Stand-Up Comedy
Laughter is the best medicine.
Take 20 minutes and watch someone like Dave Chappelle, Joe Rogan, Ari Schaffer, Kevin Hart, or Chris D’elia.
Laugh your ass off.
I guarantee it will make you happier.

6. Treat Yo Self
Take a nice long bubble bath.
Listen to your favorite music.
Eat a bowl of your favorite fruits.
Play your favorite video game.
Get a massage.
Do something to treat yourself and express self-love.
Because that’s where happiness starts.

7. Get Out in Nature
Studies have shown that even a 30-minute walk in nature can increase your happiness by as much as 40%.
So get out of your house and into the woods.
Spend some time sitting and relaxing in nature.
Throw up a hammock, sit by a campfire, hike a mountain.
Reconnect with your primal side and remind yourself just how small and trivial all of our so-called problems really are.
You’ll be happy that you did.
